This contained Caryatid figure is made from beautiful warm colour marble. Approx 90cm high, and on a small limestone base for stability.
I enjoy the idea of freeing a figure from within the stone, only to be permanently trapped under its weight. Like Atlas, these figures carry the weight of the world. A fitting analogy of today’s busy world
