Description
A man sits on a predator drone, flying it via a games console controller. Young kids brought up on war video games grow to be soldiers. They play the same video game but thousands of miles away the results are real. Trained by virtual reality games, these children kill without seeing the reality of war. They kill from the safety of an office and use terms like “neutralise the target” which avoid the reality of what they do. One more step removed from directly killing the enemy. Another bit easier to conduct war and ignore the impact on the war zone.
